Wayne Rooney has officially secured a transfer to DC United after spending only one season at Everton.

Rooney joined Everton on a two-year deal last summer, meaning that he exits Merseyside with only a year remaining on his existing deal.
The fee for the transfer is currently unknown but reports recently indicated that Everton had accepted a bid worth in the region of £12 million for the experienced attacker.
