Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha will NOT be leaving the club this summer, according to Sky Sports News, meaning any Everton deal is now officially dead in the water.
Sky Sports reporter Fraser Dainton reported a short while ago that with less than two hours remaining of Transfer Deadline Day, a deal looked very unlikely, and now it has been confirmed.
The Toffees have been desperate for a marquee winger all summer, with that position being one of important for Marco Silva, but the club will now have to do without unless Silva and Marcel Brands can pull a rabbit out of the hat on an unknown target, which they’ll have to do rapidly.
PSV’s Steven Bergwijn was named as a potential alternative option earlier today, while the Blues could make another offer for Alex Iwobi.
