Four first-team stars to be axed by Silva at Everton

New Everton manager Marco Silva has already sold Ramiro Funes Mori and is ready for several more departures this summer as he looks to shuffle his squad for next season, according to a report by the Daily Star.

Silva doesn’t want any inconsistent performers in his squad and wants to build a team where everyone is competing for a starting position.

The new Everton boss shipped out Funes Mori to Spanish La Liga side Villareal and the new boss is ready to stamp down his authority on the squad.

Wales international Ashley Williams could be another casualty, with Silva ready to listen to offers for the centre-back.

Along with him, skilful winger Yannick Bolasie could also find himself looking for a new club. Bolasie has always had the potential to become a star at Goodison Park, but his injury problems have meant that he rarely gets a sustained run in the team.

Silva is also ready to let defensive midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin leave. The Frenchman has failed to impress the Goodison faithful since his move from Manchester United.

Also, Wayne Rooney has almost left the club for MLS side DC United, with the Englishman’s move set to be announced tonight.

Silva wants the club to improve their transfer strategy after they slashed the cash last summer. He is working closely with the new director of football at Everton Marcel Brands.
