Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is a familiar face in English football but is equally defined by a short but illustrious England international career.

He recently kept another clean sheet in England’s recent 4-0 triumph over Iceland, putting in a commanding display between the posts in a dominant English display. Before the match, Pickford also joined the goalkeeping department in paying a touching tribute (pictured) to former Liverpool and England goalkeeper Ray Clemence, who passed away on Sunday aged 72.

Unfortunately for Pickford, the win was not enough to book the Three Lions’ place in the Nations League finals as the previous 2-0 defeat to Belgium put pay to any hopes Gareth Southgate’s side progressing in the competition.

Nonetheless, Wednesday’s win and clean sheet will serve as a powerful confidence boost for Pickford, who has fluctuated in form recently. He was dropped to the bench in a 2-1 defeat to Newcastle before being restored against Manchester United, only to then concede three goals on his return.

With no more international breaks until March, this is an opportune moment for you to test your general knowledge of Pickford’s career to date – so give our quiz a go and see how well you get on!
