Jarrod Bowen has made his position known to David Moyes over a potential move to Everton, and would seriously consider joining should the Toffees follow through with an approach, according to TEAMtalk.
The outlet, whose report carried additional input from Graeme Bailey, said Bowen has made his willingness clear to Moyes directly, provided Everton lodge a formal approach, and he ultimately decides his future lies away from West Ham.
That stance is said to stem from the relationship the pair built at the club, where Bowen became one of Moyes’s most trusted players and scored the winning goal in the 2023 Europa Conference League final.
Read West Ham reported separately that Everton have already made preliminary contact over a deal, though no formal offer has been submitted. Aston Villa and Tottenham are also credited with interest, but Bowen’s history with Moyes is understood to give Everton an advantage if a move does progress.
Bowen scored 60 goals and provided 41 assists in 202 games under Moyes at West Ham. This season, despite the club’s relegation, he still managed nine goals and 11 assists in the Premier League.
Publicly, Bowen has struck a different tone, saying discussing his future is “disrespectful” to West Ham while they target an immediate return to the Premier League. Any deal would also likely hinge on funding, with reports linking a sale of Iliman Ndiaye — whose contract talks have stalled — to Man City interest worth up to £69m.
Nothing is imminent, and Bowen’s public and private positions don’t yet align — but the contact with Moyes marks the clearest sign yet of where this could be heading.
