Everton 2-2 Watford: Everton Player Ratings

The usual preface, I never like criticising referees, but Kevin Friend’s performance was up there with the most shambolic displays I’ve ever seen at Goodison.

Richarlison would’ve had to have been shot in order for him to even think about getting a free kick, and it probably wouldn’t have been a booking.

Beyond giving Mr Friend more attention than he deserves, Mr Silva’s team were back to their dynamic best in the first half of the first half itself, and it paid off early on with an excellent move leading to a Richarlison chance, and Watford’s favourite villain ensured that adults would indeed wave rubber snakes on a Monday evening, four hours from home.

The second half was a whole lot of Sam Allardyce however as it is by far the worst half of football we’ve played under Silva.

You all saw how we crumbled, I won’t remind you, but Lucas Digne spared half a blush with a 96th-minute free-kick and that was that.

And it was all a dream.
