As long as the team is plagued with a mentality of reacting to making a mistake by making more and more mistakes, this team will absolutely get nowhere and nowhere fast.
This was a game that we should have absolutely breezed through, as it could have been 2-0 or 3-0 after half an hour. Instead, we went into the half 3-1 down and already beyond saving.
Jordan Pickford made a horrendous mistake after just about recovering from his Anfield error, so this will probably set us back about another five weeks. It was by far the most disgraceful performance of the season bar none.
A game where we were absolutely dominant until the house of cards came falling at a hilariously fast pace.
Well, it’s hilarious only according to the saying ‘If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry’.
That puts us well and truly out of the race for the top six, and signs another season to the history books.
