Everton interested in £14m Batshuayi swoop

Everton are keen to make a £14 million move for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, according to a report from the Mirror.

The Toffees were linked with a swoop for the Belgian international last week, with his short-term future at Valencia in Spain coming under scrutiny.

Following the player’s underwhelming loan spell with the La Liga outfit, a decision was made on Thursday to terminate the deal and bring Batshuayi’s short stay at the club to an end.

This has prompted speculation surrounding the ex-Marseille front-man’s next destination, with Everton emerging as potential suitors.

It is reported by the Mirror that a deal could be tied up for £14m this month as the 25-year-old’s agent continues to pursue a new transfer for his client.

The Toffees have rotated their striking options this season, with Richarlison often utilised in a central role, but Marco Silva appears to be keen on recruiting more attacking firepower in the January transfer window.
