Report: Everton target Jack Grealish still available despite Enzo Maresca talks

Everton’s hopes of securing Jack Grealish this summer may have received a timely fresh boost after a report claimed Man City remain willing to sell the England international.

According to Football Insider, City continue to view Grealish as surplus to requirements despite discussions between the 30-year-old and new manager Enzo Maresca over his future at the Etihad.

Maresca’s appointment had prompted speculation that Grealish could be handed a fresh opportunity to establish himself under a new head coach. However, the latest report suggests City’s stance has not shifted, with the Premier League champions still prepared to sanction his departure if a suitable offer arrives.

Everton have, of course, been credited with a long-standing interest in the former Aston Villa captain following his loan spell at the club last season, during which he showed flashes of the creativity and ball-carrying ability that made him one of English football’s most sought-after attacking players.

While any permanent move would represent a significant financial commitment, a further loan agreement has also been discussed in reports during the transfer window as Everton continue to assess ways of strengthening their attacking options.

No agreement has yet been reached and neither club has commented publicly on Grealish’s future. However, if Football Insider’s latest update proves accurate, Everton’s hopes of bringing the England international back to Merseyside remain alive despite the managerial change at City.

With David Moyes keen to add greater creativity and experience to his squad before the new Premier League campaign, Grealish will remain a player closely watched by Evertonians as the transfer window plods on.

Please get this done … I’m tired of writing about it!
