Everton make ‘concrete proposal’ to sign Traore

A report from French outlet Foot Mercato, as cited by Get French Football News, has named Everton as one of the numerous clubs in the race to sign Chelsea forward Bertrand Traore, and have claimed that the Toffees have lodged a ‘concrete proposal’ to lure him.

Everton join a host of European clubs including West Ham, Lille, Lyon, Borussia Monchengladbach and Schalke 04 in making offers for the attacker. Foot Mercato’s exclusive goes on to say that one of these clubs has offered a concrete offer worth as much as €17m – but the London club are reportedly holding out for their asking price of €20m.

Traore spent the past season on loan at Europa League finalists Ajax, enjoying a campaign thriving with game time and most importantly goals. The 21-year-old made 39 appearances for Ajax throughout, netting 13 goals and setting up another six.

It’s unknown whether or not Everton are leading the race for the youngster or if they’ll clinch his signature – but we do know that Ronald Koeman is set to be given an excessive transfer budget to sign the players he needs.
