Everton in three-way tussle for Moussa Sissoko

Everton are part of a three-way tussle with West Brom and Crystal Palace to land Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko this summer, according to the Shields Gazette.

Real Madrid, Juventus and Inter Milan have all made checks on the Frenchman this summer but have decided to pursue other targets or deem the £35m-rated midfielder too costly.

The 26-year-old joined Newcastle from Toulouse in January 2013 for just £2.1m and has been a rather hot-and-cold performer in the last three and a half years.

However, a stunning Euro 2016 campaign for Sissoko has put him in the shop window following Newcastle’s relegation to the Championship, with the Toon placing a £35m price tag on him.

Alan Pardew signed Sissoko and Newcastle and would like to bring him to Selhurst Park, but according to Sport.fr, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund are all interested in signing the Frenchman, while West Ham have also been linked.

Able to play in central midfield or on the right wing, Sissoko has scored 13 goals and assisting in 27 more in his 170 appearances for Newcastle across all competitions.

The Shields Gazette say Palace, along with Everton and West Brom, are the most keen on signing Sissoko before next Wednesday’s transfer deadline, with the Telegraph also confirming Palace and Everton’s interest.
