A good result midweek needs to lead to another at Arsenal if Everton are to still have any European ambitions.
We don’t do well against these teams, there’s no doubt about that, and this game might as well be a write-off to fans, but the important thing is that it isn’t to the players.
We simply need to play like we did between the 15th and 70th minute against Leicester and we can come away with a result. Arsenal are definitely the worst of the ‘big six’ and we can exploit their poor defence. If anything, we know how to take advantage of weak defences (See Liverpool).
Anyway, the system will remain largely the same for Large Samuel and don’t be surprised to see another Liverpool-esque display with ten men behind the ball and Phil Jagielka spearheading counter-attacks.
I want to see us have a go, as many do, as the season is most certainly one that will be forgotten, let’s have some results to remember.
That one wasn’t too negative, was it?
