Everton v Brighton – Alex’s XI

So I didn’t do the ratings last time out. I’ve heard we played alright.

However I’m afraid that I’m back with a vengeance for the forseeable future so do not be at all surprised if Everton themselves realise this and pack it in for the season.

We’re up against a deceptively good Brighton side. The team that everyone thinks will be an easy win, and that everyone forgets about when they’re trying to list the 20 Premier League teams.

But they’re managed by one of my favourite Premier League bosses in Chris Hughton, who never gets enough credit for the work he does at any given club. He has turned Brighton and Hove Albion into a solid, respected Premier League side who are extremely hard to beat at home.

Which brings me to the situation at home. Brighton have lost two of their last 12 at home, but we’re coming off of our biggest away win in the 21st century.

Mr Silva will also have some rotation in mind, can you change a team that just won 5-1?

matchday.
