Everton v Leicester – My Everton XI

Everton v Leicester – My Everton XI

The season is well and truly dead. We’re a broken club that needs scrapping from the ground up and started all over again. With that comes a new manager, new scouting system, a new squad and an ending to the Director of Football model.

I think that much is obvious to all of us that will be sat inside Goodison come Wednesday, as will the fact that we’re probably going to get beat by a better side. Jamie Vardy will certainly prove too much for our defence, and our only saving grace is that Riyad Mahrez won’t be lining up for the Foxes.

However, that just means Leicester will just dip into a pool of wingers that are infinitely more talented than anything we can throw out, so don’t get too excited.

I’d also be more than shocked if we even score, seeing as Sam Allardyce has said that his priority is once again clean sheets, which is football language for ”we’re sitting back as far as possible and praying to whatever God will listen”.

It’s going to be another negative 90 minutes of football in a dead atmosphere, all due to the board having the audacity to appoint Allardyce, weeks after Farhad Moshiri had said that he wouldn’t because ‘the fans would be underwhelmed’.

Look how that’s turned out.
