Everton v Swansea – My Everton XI

Everton v Swansea – My Everton XI

It’s been a good month on the blue half of the city but now is where the real graft begins.7 games in less than a month, 4 of which being against some of the ‘Big Six’, mean that Allardyce is going to prove whether he has a proper future at Everton beyond this 18 month period or whether stability in 7th-10th is what he will offer.

Which, don’t get me wrong, wouldn’t be the worst thing after the last 5 or so years of complete volatility. A year to establish a squad and kick on from there doesn’t sound too bad, especially when it times well with our move to the docks, but we’re an inherently ambitious kind and the idea of knowing a future that contains no opportunity for that ambition, after a generation of disappointment with regards to silverware, isn’t an easy pill to take.

But anyway, that’s looking too far ahead. We have Swansea so this game statistically should be the easiest game we could possibly get, and then we factor in form and it’s a write-off victory for Everton.

We don’t work that way, never have and never will.
