Everton v Watford – My Eleven

Unsurprisingly, playing the lazy old guard didn’t work last time out as the season is coming to a close. It’s finished for them, they’re on their holidays. Play the players who care about just getting good results for Everton, and that’s most of David Unsworth’s young squad.

I’m not expecting much from this Everton side, or this game for that matter, as both sides involved have nothing left to play for and when we don’t have anything to play for, you can be damn sure that we aren’t going to play!

But enough of that.

It’s the last game of the season at Goodison and it’ll be (eventually) under the lights. We all love a night game and we all love the last game of the season.

Let’s just give them a go, Everton. Let’s – like Norwich last season – give some of the future stars a chance and let them put in a shift.

Here’s the XI I hope Ronald Koeman selects:

matchday.
