- Jack Grealish arrived at Everton from Man City on on a loan deal.
- Had an immense impact on Merseyside but has been injured since January.
- Grealish has since hinted at a return to Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Jack Grealish has been an outstanding addition to the Everton squad.
His impact on the side was immediate after registering two assists in his first start for the Blues, as well as winning Premier League Player of the Month for August.
The winger suffered a foot injury in January, which ruled him out for the season, and has left a hole in the Toffees, who are pushing for European football.
But Grealish has been linked with a return to Hill Dickinson Stadium and has recently hinted his return could be confirmed soon.
Jack Grealish hints at Everton return on Instagram
Via his Instagram account, Grealish posted a video while on holiday, with Elton John’s, I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues, playing in the background.
The post was accompanied by a caption stating, ‘This is therapy’.
Everton have recently started to play the song at home matches, but the association with the tune stems from the club’s victorious FA Cup final in 1984, when they took on Watford, which was then owned by Elton John.
Jack Grealish has embodied the Everton spirit
Grealish has been a fan’s favourite at Hill Dickinson Stadium, and even though he has not played a match since January, he is still adored throughout the fanbase.
The 30-year-old has continued to vocally support the Blues on his social media and by attending matches in person.
Seeing a player embrace the love shown by his supporters and reciprocate this, will be a refreshing sight for Evertonians who have struggled to connect with a team that has provided much disappointment in recent seasons.
This sort of relationship between player and fanbase is a mutually beneficial one.
Evertonians are happy to see a player with bags of talent show support and dedication to their club, and Grealish will thrive off a fanbase that cheers him on with an abundance of passion.
The return of the Manchester City loanee is an exciting prospect for the club, as they will have a player with fire in his belly to further reignite his career, and a desire to help Everton in their transition.
