Everton could face competition from Lazio in their reported pursuit of Barcelona winger Malcom.
The Toffees have been heavily linked with a move for the Brazilian this month, with recent claims suggesting that they have enquired over a potential mid-season switch.
However, if they are to move ahead with their efforts to land the former Bordeaux star, it is stated by Sport, as cited by Calciomercato, that Lazio will also be in the race for his signature.
Malcom is understood to be reluctant to depart Camp Nou during the January transfer window but could yet be moved on as Ernesto Valverde trims his Barcelona squad.
Everton recruited plenty of creative talent ahead of the current campaign but appear to be intent on adding yet more reinforcements to the ranks.
The Toffees have struggled for form in recent weeks and Marco Silva may be looking at attacking players such as Malcom to strengthen his options for the second half of the season.
