Lille slap €30m price tag on reported Everton target Pepe

Everton will need to part with a fee of €30 million if they are to sign reported target Nicolas Pepe from LOSC Lille, according to recent reports.

It’s claimed by Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, as translated in a report from Sport Witness, that Lille are unwilling to let their star man depart for anything less than the aforementioned €30m fee.

The Toffees have been linked with a swoop for the Ivory Coast international in recent times following his impressive form in Ligue 1 so far this season.

Pepe has emerged as a talismanic figure for Lille, leading the way as the club’s top goal scorer in the early stages of the campaign.

The 23-year-old, who can play either on the right-hand side or in a striking role, has been linked to a host of prestigious clubs across Europe. However, it seems he will not be leaving Lille unless a premium price is offered.

Everton are joined by Arsenal and Barcelona in the race to recruit Pepe, according to recent speculation.
