West Brom are interested in signing James McCarthy on loan this month, with Everton keen to get minutes under the midfielder’s belt.
The Ireland international has not played for the Toffees in almost a year, after he sustained a double compound leg fracture last season against the Baggies, following an accidental collision with Salomón Rondón.
With the former Wigan Athletic man now ready to return to first-team action, the Blues are keen to find a club who can give the 28-year old regular minutes.

MailOnline reported recently that both West Brom and West Ham were interested in bringing McCarthy in this month, and today Sky Sports News have backed those claims, stating via their sources that Darren Moore is interested in McCarthy as he looks to strengthen his squad.
McCarthy would join his former Everton midfield partner Gareth Barry at the Hawthorns, as well as current Everton defender and Baggies loanee Mason Holgate.
