RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann has praised Everton target Yussuf Poulsen, labelling him a “role model”.
It was reported earlier this week that Marco Silva had sent scouts to run the rule over the Danish forward, ahead of Everton potentially making a January offer.
Some reports had claimed that the 25-year old striker has struggled to make an impact at the Red Bull Arena in recent times, with the meteoric rise of Timo Werner overshadowing Poulsen’s impact.

However, some still see the important of the Denmark international, including boss Nagelsmann who is delighted to have the forward back.
Poulsen missed Leipzig’s Bundesliga tie against Werder Bremen last weekend, where the Red Bulls won 3-0, due to the birth of his child.
Now back in training, Nagelsmann has praised the influence of the bustling forward, amid transfer speculation from Everton and Newcastle. Talking to Sportbuzzer, Nagelsmann said:
(Against Bremen) we missed a component because he’s incredibly aggressive and an incredible role model.
He has a great mentality.
It appears as though Everton will struggle to tempt Leipzig into selling Poulsen any time soon, and with Nagelsmann rating the forward, it looks to be an even bigger uphill battle.

I spoke about Poulsen before being a player who could enable Silva to have multiple plans going into a game. As such, I think he would be a good addition but also his ability to develop those around him could enable Moise Kean or Dominic Calvert-Lewin to really excel.
However, a deal looks tough, because it really seems as though Nagelsmann is a big fan of the Dane. Of course, I still harbour hope that a deal could be done if Everton push hard enough, but Leipzig’s lack of a desire to let him go would likely see the price tag skyrocket, which could disinterest Marcel Brands and Silva.
