According to Gazzetta World, Roma have turned their attentions to Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori as they look to being a new centre back in this summer.
Roma have already lost Leandro Castan and Erkin Zukanovic, which means that they are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements and apparently they see Funes Mori as the perfect man to come in and improve their side.
The Serie A giants are wanting a loan deal, with an option to buy at the end of the loan. However, Everton are not willing to play ball. Everton are very keen to keep the defender at the club, following some impressive displays last season.
Funes Mori signed for Everton at the start of the last campaign and played well, scoring an impressive five goals from centre-back in 37 appearances.
He has endeared himself to the Everton supporters with some whole-hearted displays at the back, being branded as a ‘tough guy’ by many.
Roma are still interested at this point, but Everton are unwilling to entertain any offers.
