Six Youngsters Who Could Revitalise Everton

Evertonians haven’t had many reasons to be positive over the last couple of months.

Dreadful home form, turgid football and major fan unrest have made for an unwanted but very present cacophony at L4 in recent times, though there has been a few shoots of hope coming through Finch Farm over the last few weeks.

The introduction of Everton’s much-discussed youngsters to the first-team fray has supporters feeling somewhat positive about their club’s future on the pitch, even if there isn’t a lot of reason to be excited by the current state of affairs.

Kevin Sheedy’s U18’s recently won the Dallas Cup, David Unsworth has a smorgasbord of talent at his disposal in the U21’s and Roberto Martinez has blooded a few of the youthful starlets pouring out of a system that has produced stars such as Wayne Rooney, Ross Barkley and Tony Hibbert.

Over to Ed Shorthouse, who’ll take you through the creme da le creme.
