The Everton Post Pre-Season Piece

So, pre-season has passed us by and we’re all raring to, once again, have another go at an Everton season probably piled with misery.

But we wouldn’t have it any other way.

There have certainly been some positives, while also the various losses have displayed some glaring negatives that Everton’s power couple of Marco and Marcel need to rectify come Friday otherwise it may well be a long, winding road to take us to January, following our resident mountebank Michael Keane and shaky stalwart Phil Jagielka. Too many fancy words for no reason? Correct. Michael Keane has been given too many chances? Correct.

So what I’m trying to say in this short but already irritating preview is that we need two centre-backs, pronto.

But that is looking to the future, and I’ll worry about moaning after the window is shut. For now, let’s look back at the Good, the Bad, the Maybe and the Ugly of the 18/19 pre-season campaign.
