Perhaps a ‘Keep in and around the first team or don’t’ would have been a more apt title, but I’m not looking to make my title longer than my articles, so we have what we have. But moving on… Hello again! It’s been a quick minute and Sam Allardyce has yet to be sacked (Typed […]
I just want the game to be over so I can get back home to watch the Masters. I am absolutely numb to this game, if I had the choice I probably wouldn’t go. But I’m an Everton fan, and you don’t just ‘not go’ the game. So now that’s out the way, I can preview what’s going to […]
I’m not going to lie to you, I spent my time today watching the City players rather than the Everton players, but I think many of you will let me off. Watching David Silva control the midfield as well as the attack for the entire game at his age was unbelievable, and being able to […]
Guardiola’s never beaten Everton, by the way. We’re going into the game off of a lesser-spotted away win where Cenk Tosun netted twice up at Stoke. Granted, all optimism was swiftly derailed after realising that our next two fixtures are City and Liverpool. We also have Idrissa Gueye and Gylfi Sigurdsson still injured so that […]
As much as we want to be apathetic, and believe me I’ve been doing a stand-up job of it recently, the Ev’ are playing and we’re all glued to our screens for one more ride. Sam’s still in charge so there’s the tone we’re starting on, and we’ve also won 2 away games since January […]
If we presume Allardyce was staying until summer anyway, then this is a great day overall. It was the best we’ve played since we beat West Ham at home 4-0 (Who, by the way, didn’t have the best time today it seemed. One fan got laid out by Mark Noble, a folktale for years to […]
I think I made myself pretty clear on Allardyce, and Everton really, during the week, so I won’t go into too much of that again. Instead, let’s look forward to going back to Goodison in the freezing cold weather to watch the Blues slump to another awful result, whereafter our manager will blame every aspect but […]
I’ve been muted on Allardyce, and Everton as a whole really recently, because like many people I’ve stopped caring. I just don’t care about this Everton team. And to make a quick clarification, I will never, ever not love Everton, but this team is far from what I know as Everton. This is going to […]
A change to 4-4-2 in an away match signalled that the end was nigh before the game even kicked off. Everton don’t do two strikers away from home, full stop. And when the game kicked off, it was normality resumed as Dominic Calvert-Lewin was dragged out to the left. However, there was one interesting decision that […]
If you’ve been away for the last few weeks, you may have missed the growing attitude among most of us that we really, really don’t care about anything anymore. We all want this season to be over and Sizeable Samuel to be hastily evicted from anything to do with Everton. Now, it may be too […]
I can’t really criticise the performance in large parts the way that the scoreline would suggest that I should, but I’ll certainly try. We weren’t really that bad to be honest, as the midfield of Gana and Davies continue to prove vital to both our pressing and passing game, especially when Rooney is off his […]
This time next year, our manager may well be returning to his old club with a revitalised squad, a push for the title very much on the cards and a Premier League leading 26 goals for Oumar Niasse. One can dream, and Marco Silva is certainly a dream at this point. You might not be […]
