It’s hard to have any sort of meaningful gripes that go beyond ‘Please, just please, sort these corners’. It’s beyond a little observation we all make on the way home now, it’s a full blown crisis. Every single goal we’ve conceded this season has been from a set piece besides one. It isn’t a case […]
We’re going into the fourth league game of the season with seven players unavailable already, those being Idrissa Gana Gueye, André Gomes, Richarlison, Phil Jagielka, Michael Keane, Yerry Mina and Bernard. That does look pretty grim, but we have far stronger depth in the squad this season as opposed to last campaign. There are players […]
Welcome to the only Player Ratings show that matters. To start with the obvious, the team was a weird one and surprised most when it was revealed come quarter to 7. Sandro Ramírez, who just an hour earlier had reportedly agreed to leave Everton tomorrow, was starting out wide and there were no signs of […]
We enter into the second round of the “Weird Eastern Sponsor Here” Cup unbeaten, 5 points from 9. In another world, we’d be flawless, sitting at the top of the table if not for questionable refereeing and general Everton bottling procedures. But still, we’re all still happy, aren’t we? Marco Silva’s Everton are looking like […]
(Just as a quick author’s note we’re having some trouble with things in the Slideshow format, so I apologise for the bland template of these ratings. Hopefully all will be back next week. Love from, Alex x) Firstly, I would like to send whatever I’ve got to Michael Keane, he went in for a warrior’s […]
We always have some really, really mad games against Bournemouth. Some that come to mind are last season’s comeback win, with Niasse getting two, the 6-3 where Barkley celebrated before he scored (Which also featured Lukaku netting four) and that game which won’t be mentioned. We haven’t actually won in the league at the Vitality, […]
Everton, as much as I wouldn’t have it any other way, you’ve really got to stop making games more difficult than they should be. Granted, the referee certainly didn’t help matters on this occasion – as we got the lesser spotted instance of a referee being awful for both teams – as Southampton probably should […]
I’m really looking forward to getting back to Goodison Park, which is something I’ve not said in a few years. It’s nice to be looking forward to watching an Everton team who are going to put in some effort, after whatever the last couple of seasons have been. We go into the game with far more […]
It was a red card. Sorry. But while you’re here, read the rest of this and then you can tweet nasty things at little old me, link above the article. We got off to an excellent start. To be honest, we got out of the blocks far quicker than I expected and we controlled the […]
Here. We. Go. Again. The Blues are back in business for another rollercoaster of emotions more commonly known as the English Premier League. Personally, I’m far from ready and still recovering from last season, wounds still present and all that, but the more level headed of you may be looking forward to the coming season […]
So, pre-season has passed us by and we’re all raring to, once again, have another go at an Everton season probably piled with misery. But we wouldn’t have it any other way. There have certainly been some positives, while also the various losses have displayed some glaring negatives that Everton’s power couple of Marco and […]
Football is a game of opinions. Was that a penalty? Should we sign player X? Wouldn’t player Y be a better fit for our system? In this age of modern football, and with social media now common place, everyone has a take on the news of the world, and they all simply must share it […]
