Everton have enquired about signing Georginio Wijnaldum from Newcastle this summer, according to the Express.
The report states that a meeting has been held over the Dutch midfielder, with Newcastle playing in the Championship next season. Enquiries have also been made as they start to prepare the move.
The fee that Newcastle is wanting is thought to be at least £25 million, and if he stays he could prove vital in their battle to bounce back to the top flight after the 2016/17 season. The report also states that Everton manager Ronald Koeman was interested in the 25-year-old back whilst at Southampton.

Wijnaldum joined Newcastle from Dutch side PSV last summer, making an appearance in all 38 league games for the relegated side. He was their top scorer in the league with 11 goals, two more than their striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.
While the Toffees have been linked to players, not many confirmed moves have occurred so far. The biggest change so far involves Tim Howard, who has left the side to join Colorado Rapids.
