Everton linked with Elmohamady again

Hull City’s Ahmed Elmohamady is interesting Premier League sides with Everton and West Brom submitting offers, according to KingFut.

It is thought Everton, along with several other Premier League clubs, chased the 28-year-old in the summer as Hull City dropped to the Championship, although he opted to stay at the KC Stadium.

The attacking right-back also has interest from France, as Marseille offered a transfer fee of £2.6million during the summer. It is thought the French giants will come back in with another offer to prise the Egyptian away from English football.

Elmohamady has been impressive so far this season for Hull, playing 29 times in both the league and Capital One Cup, scoring three times and assisting on four occasions.

The Egyptian, who became the first ever Arab player to play 100 consecutive English matches, would bring versatility to both Everton and West Brom both defensively and going forward.

The prospect of Premier League football could tempt Elmohamady to either Goodison Park or The Hawthorns, although he may opt to stay with Hull as they fight for automatic promotion – they currently sit in third, just one point away from Derby who sit in second.

It does seem it’ll be hard to move Elmohamady away from the KC Stadium as he’s a player Steve Bruce trusts, hence the consecutive matches record, and he may demand a higher price than Roberto Martinez and Tony Pulis are willing to pay.

It’s not the most inspiring transfer target either, in all honesty.
