Everton linked with January move for Kevin Gameiro

Everton have struggled for goals this season, finding the back of the net just four times in seven games which has heaped pressure on under-fire manager Ronald Koeman.

The loss of Romelu Lukaku was expected to be balanced out by the additions Everton made across the rest of the field but it hasn’t panned out that way as Sandro Ramirez continues to struggle for form in front of goal.

It’s likely that Everton will make a move in January for a new centre-forward and reports claim that the Toffees are very interested in signing Kevin Gameiro from Atletico Madrid.

Gameiro completed a £28.8m transfer to Atletico last summer from La Liga rivals Sevilla and he scored 12 goals in 31 league appearances in his debut season, but he’s featured just twice so far this term.

Atletico will welcome Diego Costa back from Chelsea in January which will make the French striker surplus to requirements and Everton are among those keenest.
