Pundit reactions: The Athletic analyst reveals Everton have “the most injuries in the Premier League” at the moment

Everton have struggled for results recently with them sat eighth in the Premier League.

Recent form has seen the Toffees fail to win in their last four games with them facing their next challenge on Friday.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side face up against Tottenham Hotspur, with the London club currently one point above the Toffees.

Their previous game saw a real weakness in the depth of the squad with injuries impacting Ancelotti’s selection.

It has now been revealed by Tom Worville, an analyst for The Athletic, that Everton currently have the most injuries in the league right now…

As you can see from the graphic, Everton have five players out for 30 days or more.

As well as that, many of the injuries that are due to come back in mid-April are yet to return.

The sooner the Toffees have there full strength squad back then the better.

It will be a real challenge for the club to make ground in the league table to try and qualify for Europe.

Friday’s test against Spurs will be a crunch game and if the Toffees can win that then who knows where they could finish.

European football will be a huge plus for the club and will no doubt set them up for future success.

With Ancelotti at the helm and a crop of talented players currently in the squad, it is only up from here.
