Aaron Lennon has said returning to Everton permanently has given him ‘an unbelievable feeling’.
The 28-year-old signed a three-year-deal with the Blues after an impressive loan spell last season and has spoken of his happiness to return to Merseyside on a full-time basis.
He also mentioned his burning desire to return to Everton and how he had to wait throughout the summer to become one of the Toffeemen.
“It’s an unbelievable feeling, a lot of people know it’s the move I wanted and from the first time I got here, it felt like home.” Lennon told evertontv.
“I was just hoping it got done throughout the summer, I was just waiting, waiting. Yesterday was a great moment for me to finally become a full time Everton player.
“The loan spell was great for me. I enjoyed the whole feel of everything and the reception from everyone to do with the club.
I felt so welcomed and I was just hoping throughout the whole summer that this one got done – and thankfully it did.”

Lennon scored two goals and rejuvenated an ailing Everton side in the 2014/15 campaign, with his energetic, all-action displays going down a treat with the Goodison faithful.
The winger can play on both sides of the pitch and cost the Blues £4.5million, half the valuation placed on his head by Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy earlier in the summer.
When asked what made him want to come back to Goodison Park, Lennon said:
“Everything.”
“The gaffer, the lads, the staff, the fans, everyone to do with the club, to be honest, made me feel so welcome from the first that I got here.”
