Everton manager David Moyes is reportedly on Celtic’s radar ahead of next season.
Journalist Alan Nixon reports that Celtic are keeping an eye on the 63-year-old, whose Everton contract expires next summer. No approach has been reported, with Moyes currently leading an unbeaten Everton side while The Friedkin Group considers its options for the club.
Celtic monitoring David Moyes
Moyes returned to Everton in January 2025 on a two-and-a-half-year contract running until the summer of 2027. Nixon says Celtic are considering their options for next season and are monitoring Moyes.
The Scot began his professional playing career at Celtic before leaving for Cambridge United in 1983. Moyes has since returned to Everton for a second spell as manager, with the Blues taking 10 points from their opening six Premier League games this season.
His contract situation comes as Everton face possible changes at ownership level. The Friedkin Group announced last week that it was exploring new investment, including a potential sale of its controlling interest.
Moyes said the announcement surprised him and has since outlined what he wants from any future Everton owners. There has been no announcement over a new Everton contract for Moyes and no reported approach from Celtic.
