Everton bid £8.5m for Ishak Belfodil

Everton have bid £8.5m for striker Ishak Belfodil, according to Sky Sources.

The Standard Leige forward has scored nine goals in 21 appearances and with Everton on the lookout for a new forward, Belfodil seems to be the number one target for Ronald Koeman and Steve Walsh.

With Arouna Kone’s introduction against Leicester questioned by supporters and Dominic-Calvert Lewin’s recent injury, Everton are only left with Romelu Lukaku and Enner Valencia as their only fit forwards.

With Yannick Bolasie also out injured, there was little doubt that the club would look to strengthen their attack during the window.

The Toffees are also looking to seal deals for Manchester United pair Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay.

The former is said to be nearing a deal, with Manchester United wanting around £22m while Everton would prefer that the latter come in on loan with view to a permanent deal next summer. United however, would prefer a permanent deal during this window.
