Virals: Tweet shows just how bad Everton’s injury problems have got

Yesterday saw Everton fail to take advantage of Tottenham’s loss against Manchester United at the weekend.

The Toffees ran out a goalless draw against Brighton and Hove Albion last night, leaving them one point behind the North London outfit.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side had a tough game ahead of them, with their performance in front of goal far from perfect.

However, that didn’t seem to be the main takeaway from the game, with Everton fan Toby pointing out the clubs injury problems…

Everton have suffered hugely from injuries recently with them fielding a very young bench last night.

The oldest player on yesterday’s bench was Alex Iwobi who is 25, whereas the average age of the rest of the substitutes was 19.5-years-old.

Toby has hit the nail on the head with this one, as Iwobi looked really out of place sat on that bench.

Youngster Nathan Broadbend made his debut for the Toffees last night when coming on during the 88th minute.

The Welsh striker had a night to remember and I am sure him and his family will be extremely proud despite the result.

Everton go back into Premier League action on Friday with a crunch game against Tottenham Hotspur.

A win against Spurs will see them climb up to 7th place in the table and just two points off of city rivals Liverpool.
