According to a recent report from The Mirror today, Everton have joined a variety of Premier League clubs in the chase for Charlton Athletic starlet Ademola Lookman.
The young forward has been making waves in the lower leagues of English football with some glittering displays, as he continues to spearhead The Addicks’ forward line.
If Everton do want to make their move for Lookman though, they will need to cough up a fee that could potentially rise above £10 million; the fee that was demanded in the summer after Crystal Palace expressed their interest in the promising striker.
Along with this, The Toffees face a wealth of competition from other top flight clubs. The report suggests that both Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in Lookman’s services, whilst Manchester City’s scouts joined them in watching over his side’s 3-1 FA Cup win over Scunthorpe.
Lookman bagged two goals on the day, helping his side to the second round of the competition.
