Everton have been linked with Hull City’s Ahmed Elmohamady, who is eager for an immediate return to the Premier League according to the Mirror.
Everton, Leicester City, Aston Villa and Swansea are all reportedly interested in the Egyptian, who can operate as a full-back or a winger.
The 28-year-old is in the last year of his contract with the Tigers and wants to continue his career in the top-flight of English football.
Hull boss Steve Bruce, the man who brought Elmohamady to England five years ago when he signed him for Sunderland, wants to keep one of his star players on Humberside but understands the player’s desperation to play in the Premier League.
The Hull City hierarchy will be tempted to cash in on the former Sunderland man in January as they don’t want to lose him for nothing in the summer.
It is believed an offer of £5million will be enough to prise Elmohamady out of Hull, but do Everton really need another winger? And even if they did, is Elmohamady of the requisite standard required for Everton to progress?
