Everton Predicted XI: Leeds United (A)

Everton will be hoping for a more comfortable showing against Leeds United at Elland Road tonight, having succumbed to the Whites in the reverse fixture at Goodison Park in late November.

Moreover, the Toffees will still be feeling the pain after losing 2-0 at the hands of Steve Bruce’s Newcastle side who had endured an 11-game winless streak prior to Saturday.

Last time out, a late Raphinha strike was enough to dampen the spirits of Carlo Ancelotti’s side as Everton failed to puncture the Leeds defence. However, with a wealth of attacking options bolstered by the addition of Joshua King, the Toffees should offer more of a threat in the final third than they did in their previous encounter.

With Leeds having claimed a commendable triumph against Leicester on Sunday, Ancelotti’s side will know they need to work hard to nullify the Whites’ considerable threat. The likes of Patrick Bamford and Jack Harrison routed the Foxes, and the Toffees will need to work hard to avoid becoming unstuck themselves.

With such a quick turnaround in games after the disappointing home defeat to Newcastle, Ancelotti is likely to rotate several key players both for tactical and rest-based reasons.

Featuring a couple of changes from Saturday, here is Read Everton’s predicted XI to take on Leeds…
