Everton willing to make club record offer for Koulibaly

Reports in Italy claim that Everton are willing to pay a monstrous €55million in order to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

According to Football Italia, who cite Sportitalia as their source, Everton are willing to outbid fellow Premier League side Chelsea in order to capture the Senegalese international.

Antonio Conte’s side have apparently bid €45million for the 25-year-old and the Toffees, backed with the finances of majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri, are looking to signal that they are big players in the transfer market by outbidding the former Premier League champions by €10million.

Napoli are in no desperate need to sell Koulibaly as he’s under contract until 2019, but having paid just £5.25 million when they signed him from Racing Genk, they know that they could make a huge profit if they do decide to let him make a move to England.

According to the report, Napoli will look to sign Nikola Maksimovic fro Torino if they do sell Koulibaly.
