Hoffenheim defender Niklas Sule is reportedly wanted by Everton, according to the Express.
The Toffees are believed to have sent scouts to watch the 21-year old centre-back at the weekend, as Hoffenheim beat Schalke 2-1.
German publication Bild claims that as well as Everton, scouts from Arsenal and Tottenham were in attendance on Sunday. They also claim that La Liga powerhouses Atletico Madrid and Valencia as well as Italian giants Inter Milan are running the rule over the German international.
Sule was apparently a summer target for Chelsea, with it rumored that Antonio Conte failed in a £25million bid to bring the player to Stamford Bridge.
Sule’s agent Karlheinz Forster says interest will continue to remain in his client, with it rumored that Chelsea will be back in for him next year.
Yes, there was interest.
The English have made it clear that their interest will remain valid next year.
Despite bringing in Ashley Williams in the summer, Ronald Koeman failed to replace John Stones following his transfer to Manchester City. Niklas Sule may be seen as Stones’ successor by the Everton hierarchy. Sule has made 74 appearances in the Bundesliga and has scored five goals.
The Blues face Crystal Palace this Friday, before facing Manchester City and Burnley after the international break.
