Ben Godfrey receives shout for Signing of the Season

Everton enjoyed a fantastic transfer window prior to this season.

The likes of James Rodriguez, Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure, and Robin Olsen all made their way to Goodison.

However, there has been one player that has made a massive impression for the Toffees.

During Monday’s edition of Monday Night Football, Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville picked their signings of the season.

The pair made some great cases for their players, with Carragher opting for West Ham’s Tomas Soucek.

However, Neville went for Manchester United’s Edinson Cavani as his signing of the season.

There have been plenty of new signings that have made a big impression this campaign.

According to Twitter account Footy Accumulators, Everton’s Ben Godfrey should be in the conversation too…

As they say, Godfrey has been through the ring of it for the club this season.

Having played across the whole of the defence, Godfrey has managed good form across all positions.

Last week against West Ham, the young Englishman even managed an assist for Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s winning goal.

Everton paid just under £25million for the youngster in the summer and it appears to be money well spent so far.

At just 23-years-old, Godfrey has plenty more room to improve and grow as a player.

If early signs are anything to go by, then the Toffees have a fantastic player on their hands here.
