Everton striker Romelu Lukaku claims that former boss, Roberto Martinez lost the dressing prior to be sacking earlier this month.
According to Sky Sports, the Belgian claims it was difficult for the players to work with the Spaniard following a slump in their league form towards the end of the season.
The team did not perform at all. We won two of our last 11 games. When things are broken between the manager and the players, it become difficult.
Martinez was under pressure throughout the season after setting high standards in his first Premier League campaign as Everton manager, when he guided them to a fifth place finish.

Despite reaching an FA Cup semi-final, an 11th place finish wasn’t good enough for Martinez to keep his job for another season. Fan protests left the Everton board with no choice after a clear disconnect between the manager and the fans.
Lukaku could well follow Martinez out of the door at Goodison Park this summer, the striker is being linked with moves away as the likes of Chelsea and Bayern Munich reportedly prepare bids.
