Monaco moving in for Mirallas

Monaco moving in for Mirallas

The Liverpool Echo is reporting that Monaco are targeting Kevin Mirallas.

Mirallas is reportedly disgruntled at his lack of playing time, with the Belgian hoping to make his way into the national team for Euro 2016.

He has made just two starting appearances in the Premier League this season, however manager Roberto Martinez has held talks with Mirallas to try and keep him at the club.

Mirallas signed a new three-year-contract at the Toffees this summer despite uncertainty shrouding his feature. His former club Olympiakos plus a host of other clubs are said to be monitoring the situation, with Premier League sides West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur registering their interest previously.

The club are reluctant to stand in the players way, with Roberto Martinez repeatedly stating how important Mirallas is to Everton’s long-term plans.

The 28-year-old has made 98 appearances for Everton, scoring 22 goals since joining the club in 2012 for a reported £6 million fee.
