Niasse set to leave Everton

Oumar Niasse is likely to leave the club after Ronald Koeman told club officials that the forward is not in his plans, according to the Mirror.

The 26-year-old cost Everton £13.5million in January and has only started two matches since moving from Russia, failing to score in both. It is thought that the Senegalese international will be sent out on loan, likely with the hope of shifting him next summer.

It is thought that his next destination may be Russia, though Galatasaray were thought to be interested last month. Should Everton sell Niasse, they will be hoping to recoup at least some of the fee they paid for the forward, with the club making him their third most expensive signing in history only 6 months ago.

Niasse featured on Saturday afternoon as Koeman’s side faced Czech side FK Jablonec, coming on as a half-time substitute and hitting the post late on in the game.
