Manchester United are interested in Everton starlet Brendan Galloway, according to the Daily Mirror.
Galloway, who’s primarily a centre-back, has impressed for the Blues in the absence of Leighton Baines, who was sidelined with an ankle problem the day before the start of the season.
The 19-year-old defender, who has been called up to the England U21 squad, signed a five-year-deal with the Toffees last summer, after joining from MK Dons for around £500,000.
Everton beat a whole host of clubs to Galloway’s signature and are set to offer the Zimbabwean-born star a new contract, but with Luke Shaw out for the rest of the season Manchester United are reportedly ready to make their move.
Roberto Martinez will not want one of his burgeoning talents sold and it remains to be seen if the Red Devils follow up their interest by bidding for Galloway, who is enjoying life on Merseyside.
Martinez fought tooth and nail to keep John Stones at Goodison Park in the summer and would no doubt do the same for Galloway, should he have to.
