Virals: Everton striker Moise Kean drops cryptic social media hints

Everton striker Moise Kean has fuelled speculation over a move away from Goodison Park following some cryptic social media activity.

As spotted by the Liverpool Echo in an eagle-eyed observation, the young Italian hitman has deleted all Everton-related posts from his Instagram page.

Having struggled for meaningful opportunities in his debut campaign in Everton colours, he departed on loan last season for then-Ligue 1 champions PSG.

Enjoying a fruitful spell in Paris, Kean went on to score 13 league goals in just 26 appearances – an average of a league goal in every two games.

His prolific record is an encouraging sign of a renaissance in the youngster’s career, with Kean described as a ‘raw talent’ in need of the right mentor by one Italian journalist.

Despite Rafa Benitez reportedly refusing to sanction a move away from Goodison Park, Kean’s recent social media activity has convinced some Blues that his exit is on the horizon.

As the Echo notes, Kean posted the message “back soon” on his Instagram story, accompanied by a fingers-crossed emoji in a likely reference to PSG.

If his cryptic activity is a symptom of his desire to leave, then matching that desire with the board’s is a separate matter.

Benitez has made clear through his actions that Kean will not be going to PSG, whilst the Parisians themselves are well-stocked offensively.

The arrival of Lionel Messi only further complicates a star-studded front line that boasts household names in Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Mauro Icardi alongside the ex-Barcelona legend.

Accommodating Kean at PSG feels like an increasingly distant prospect as a result.
