Odds on Fellaini return slashed

Marouane Fellaini could be set for a shock return to Goodison Park.

Odds on a return to Merseyside for the Belgian were slashed on Wednesday morning, prompting rumours that the midfielder could attempt to revive his career back at Everton.

Fellaini moved to Old Trafford from the Toffees in 2013 when former manager David Moyes made the switch. The deal was thought to be worth £27.5million which looked a good deal for Everton at the time but the Blues could re-sign the midfielder for a fraction of that after his less than impressive time in Manchester.

Marouane has struggled to nail down a spot at the club since joining, starting only 12 times this season and scoring one goal. The midfielder has scored two goals in the FA Cup, one against Everton in the semi-final last month when the Toffees were knocked out by a late Anthony Martial goal.

According to a Ladbrokes spokesperson:

The odds suggest Fellaini may try and revive his career at Everton if he ends up surplus to requirements at United,

Should he ditch the Premier League entirely, Roma and Anderlecht look the most likely destination.
