Everton eye Crysencio Summerville as West Ham winger’s price could plummet

  • Crysencio Summerville has scored 7 goals and 2 assists this season for West Ham.
  • 24-year-old Dutchman has shone for the Hammers in the second half of the season.
  • European football for the Toffees will make this deal, and others, far more likely.

Everton’s summer transfer plans are already taking shape. The Toffees are pushing for European football, and with Jack Grealish’s future uncertain beyond his loan spell, David Moyes is expected to strengthen his attacking options.

One name that has emerged is West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville.

According to a report from Tutto Atalanta, Everton are one of the sides showing an interest in the Dutch winger ahead of the summer transfer window. The 24‑year‑old has been in sublime form for the Hammers in recent weeks, scoring seven goals and providing one assist across his last ten appearances as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side fight to escape the relegation zone.

Competition fierce for Summerville but West Ham’s relegation could help

The report claims that ‘half of Europe’ are eyeing Crysencio Summerville, including a host of Premier League rivals. Everton were already targeting the winger previously, as reported on ReadEverton. Aston Villa, Brentford and Bournemouth are all keeping tabs on the winger, while abroad, Marseille, Napoli, Atalanta and Villarreal are also monitoring the situation.

West Ham currently value Summerville at around £26m, but that price could plummet if they are relegated to the Championship in May. The Hammers sit in the bottom three, and their precarious position has put several of their stars in the shop window.

Former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer recently labelled Summerville as “absolutely outstanding”. His praise reflects the winger’s impact. His form has also seen Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman admit the winger is under consideration for a national team call‑up.

What Summerville would bring to Everton

The Toffees have Jack Grealish and Iliman Ndiaye currently, but the former is only on loan while the latter is attracting interest from elsewhere. Everton need to add pace and directness to their attacking options, and Summerville offers plenty of upside.

If West Ham remain in the Premier League, they may be reluctant to sell to an English rival. But if the worst happens and the Hammers go down, Summerville’s current value which is set at around €30m, is “inevitably destined to suffer a drastic nosedive,” according to the report. That could present Everton with a bargain opportunity.

Sources indicate that West Ham have no intention of entertaining offers for one of their most in‑form players if they stay up. Should circumstances change, though, Summerville’s impressive end to the campaign has ensured there will be no shortage of admirers ready to make their move this summer.

For Everton, the equation is simple. Secure European football, monitor West Ham’s fate, and be ready to pounce. Summerville has the pace, creativity and goal threat to take Moyes’ attack to the next level.
