Chelsea to include Loic Remy in deal for Lukaku

Chelsea are hoping that they will tempt Everton with one last offer of 70m up front that could include out-of-favour forward Loic Remy, according to the Express.

Lukaku, who left Chelsea in 2014 for £28m for Everton, has enjoyed drastically different fortunes than that of Loic Remy. The Frenchman found himself tremendously out of favour with then manager José Mourinho, and things don’t appear to be looking up as he looks to have found himself even further down the pecking order with the arrival of Michy Batshuayi from Marseille. The Frenchman has only netted 8 times since joining Chelsea 2 years ago in a frustrating period. This would be Chelsea’s biggest (And possibly final) offer for the 23-year old striker.

Chelsea’s pursuit of their former man Romelu Lukaku has been widely documented in all forms of media, after a solid showing at the European Championships and a blistering 15/16 campaign with Everton where he lit up Goodison Park against his former employers in a 2-0 victory in the FA Cup Semi-Finals, and he has publicly said that he is not sure if he will be staying at Everton.

However, the arrival of Ronald Koeman has promised a new era at Everton, and the Blues’ top scorer for last season may still change his mind.
