Everton have confirmed their Carabao Cup quarter-final against Fleetwood Town will take place on Tuesday, 15 December, with the Premier League trip to Nottingham Forest also moved.
David Moyes’ side will visit Fleetwood’s Highbury Stadium for a 7pm GMT kick-off, with a place in the semi-finals at stake.
The cup tie means Everton’s league fixture at Nottingham Forest, originally scheduled for Saturday, 19 December, will now be played on Sunday, 20 December, kicking off at 2pm GMT.
Everton face busy December schedule
The Blues reached the quarter-finals with a 3-1 victory over Newcastle United at Hill Dickinson Stadium last Thursday. James Garner and Hayden Hackney scored in the first half before Thierno Barry added a third after the break, securing Everton’s place in the last eight.
Fleetwood, who play in League Two, produced one of the competition’s biggest surprises by knocking out Premier League champions Arsenal on penalties in the fourth round. The tie comes during a demanding period for Everton, who travel to Brighton on Sunday, 13 December, just two days before facing Fleetwood.
Moyes’ side will then have five days before their rearranged visit to Nottingham Forest. Everton have never won the League Cup, having reached the final in 1977 and 1984.
The club confirmed both fixture changes on its official X account, while supporters can follow the updated dates on our Everton fixtures and results page.
