Everton have been linked with Minnesota United striker Kelvin Yeboah as David Moyes considers his attacking options ahead of the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old has scored 18 goals in Major League Soccer this season and is attracting interest from clubs in England and across Europe, according to talkSPORT. Yeboah is understood to be keen on a return to Europe, having previously played in Austria, Germany, Italy and France.
Everton among clubs monitoring striker market
Everton, Sunderland and Crystal Palace have been identified as Premier League clubs expected to consider attacking reinforcements in January. A separate TEAMtalk report claims Everton are leading the English interest in Yeboah, with Sporting CP also monitoring the striker.
The report suggests Minnesota could consider offers of around £6million, although there is no indication Everton have submitted a bid or opened negotiations. Yeboah joined Minnesota from Genoa in 2024 and is under contract until December 2027. He has previously represented Italy at Under-21 level and is the nephew of former Leeds United striker Tony Yeboah.
Moyes has relied heavily on Thierno Barry in attack, with the Frenchman scoring the winner in Monday’s 1-0 victory at Newcastle. Whether Everton turn their reported interest into a formal approach remains to be seen, but Yeboah is among the forwards being mentioned ahead of the January window.
